TAMPA, Fla. -- A 16-year-old from Tampa is recovering from burns he received when someone put a lit firecracker in his pocket.
Fire rescue officials said Derrick Underwood was with a group Sunday throwing fireworks at one another. The teen was seriously injured and taken to the hospital with second and third degree burns on his backside and thigh.
Reports said the teen ran for nearly a block with his pants on fire before removing them.

【タンパ＠フロリダ（AP通信）】 タンパ出身の16歳の少年が、何者かに点火された爆竹をポケットに入れられて、火傷を負ったが、幸い快方に向かっているとのこと。
消防レスキュー隊によると、デリック・アンダーウッド君は日曜日、仲間らと一緒に花火をお互いに向けて飛ばしあっていたという。アンダーウッド君は重傷で、Ⅱ度からⅢ度の火傷を背中と大腿部に負い、病院へ搬送された。
報告書には、アンダーウッド君は服を脱ぎ捨てる前に、約1ブロックを火の付いたズボンを穿いた状態で駈けずりまくったと記述されている。

花火のシーズンが近づいてまいりましたが、よいこのみんなは爆竹を友達のズボンに入れたり、ロケット花火をバズーカよろしく人に打ち込んじゃあダメだぞ！！！
